Dear Running Springs Parents,
As we start December, it’s hard to believe 2017 is coming to an end! We have certainly packed the first half of the year with lots of activities, but don’t fret…. there is still so much more to come!
Thank you Janet Vaughn for handling all of our volunteer support for the Hearing and Vision Screening which will be held this month. If you are interested in helping with this next year, please contact me!
Plus thanks goes to Jennifer Reighter for handling all of our Room Parent coordinating! Students will finish out the year with their annual classroom Holiday Parties on Friday, December 15th. Don’t forget to watch your emails for detailed information from your Room Parents. Your support and donations are always appreciated and help to ensure that these events are the best they can be for your child and his/her classroom!
I’m sure we will all enjoy the Winter Break. The last day of school for 2017 will be Friday, December 15th and students return to school on Monday, January 8, 2018. Enjoy!!!
We are starting December with December Crafts! What a fun, crafting way to end the year!
Also mark your calendar for PTA’s upcoming events when we return from winter break… Emcee applications and tryouts for 6th graders, applications for Talent Show, the ever popular Know Your States Tests and Valentine’s Bingo!
Our December PTA Meeting will be held off campus on Friday, December 14th. If you are interested in attending, please contact me directly at JenniferLovingPTA@gmail.com for details. The deadline to RSVP for this event is December 8th.
Our January PTA meeting will be on Thursday, January 11th at 8:15am in the MPR. Everyone is welcome to attend. If you haven’t been to a meeting in the past, I highly recommend it. Not only are you able to hear the latest PTA information, but our principal, Mr. McLaughlin, is always there to give us the most up-to-date school information.
As always, thank you to all our parents who do so much for our school!
I wish all of our Running Springs families a magical holiday season!
Jenn Loving PTA President
