2023 Talent Show
EMCEE AUDITIONS FORMAT
Online Application
Emcee Applications – Tuesday, 1/10/23 at 9:00AM through Wednesday, 1/11/23 until 9:00PM. No late applications will be accepted! No exceptions.
Emcee Auditions – Friday, January 13th during lunch in Mr. Tarango’s classroom. If you do not show up for auditions, you will not be considered!
Audition Format – Please review the following act scenarios, choose two, then write brief introductions for your choices. You may write your introductions on a 3×5 or 4×6 index card. You do not need to memorize your entire introduction, but remember that eye contact and creativity are very important! No group auditions will be allowed.
Practice! Practice! Practice! Get creative! The judges will be looking for creativity, eye contact, clear speaking, and good presentation. Consider making your audition presentation into a short skit. Do something that will make you stand out!
Act #1 Scenario
Gymnastics Routine
Performer’s Name: Maya Flores
Music: Right Round by Flo Rida and Upside Down by Jack Johnson
Act #2 Scenario
Singing Act
Performer’s Name: Lauren Sanada
Music: Singing “It’s a Hard Knock Life” from the musical Annie
Act #3 Scenario
Dance Performance
Group Name: Redhawk Pride – Sydney Alexander, Avery Okamura, Julia Oliva, Sophia McDaniel, Jenna Reta, and Kaylee Smith
Music: “Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis Presley
Emcee spots will be announced Friday afternoon after auditions, giving those students who were not chosen as Emcees time to apply to be in the Talent Show.
